Trashy Kicks

As a part of Nike’s campaign to reduce it’s negative footprint on the environment and in the eyes of the consumer they have created a shoe that is made primarily of waste materials.
The Nike Trash Talk uses Frankenstyle stitching so that even tiny scraps can be incorporated into the uppers; the midsoles are made from scrap foam; and the outsoles are made from “environmentally-preferred rubber.”
The shoe is modeled after Steve Nash’s signature Nike Zoom BB II Low and will initially have a limited release in New York and New Orleans with two color themes based on the Phoenix Suns uniforms.
