When you name an interface Sugar you might expect it to be an over the top display of eye candy.The Sugar interface for the OLPC’s XO laptop is bright and playful but definitely not just an exercise in aesthetics. It was developed with help from Pentagram’s Lisa Strausfeld, to act as a visual representation of the user and their community. Instead of running applications, the focus of the interface is in performing activities and focusing on the individual. OLPC breaks down the features on it’s website, but you need to check out the videos above to see it in action.
