Looks like a couple German engineers have hacked a Wii Balance Board to be used as a computer navigation device (essentially a body mouse). One of the cooler applications of this, that the video shows, is the ability to surf the globe with online maps like Google Earth.

This also got me thinking how cool it would be to apply the Balance Board control system to games like Tony Hawk and or even car racing games like Grand Tourismo. I think it would definitely give the gamer a more interactive experience.
