Seeing as we have been posting a lot about KU I thought I would switch it up and post about our other favorite thing: BEER! I was doing some research for work today and came across this site: Here’s To Beer and was delighted to see the thoughtful design and application of the site. I am not really sure who made it or funded the project but they sure did a nice job putting it together for the love of beer. From the homepage you can view the history of beer in America, watch videos that salute to beer, view the beer pocket guide, read The Weekly Pint, or enjoy a “lively” conversation as you drink with famous historical figures (I guess if you are drinking you could possibly have some quite entertaining conversations with Ben Franklin and Confucius!) My favorite part of the site allows you to view beer and food pairings. I have always told Brian you don’t drink beer with pasta (you should have wine!) but the screenshot below seems to indicate otherwise, they suggest an American Ale as a complement, an IPA as the recommendation, and a Belgian Style Witbeir as a perfect contrast to the dish.
