Looks like WhatIfSports was right. With single shot from Mario Chalmers the Jayhawks grabbed the momentum from Memphis to win the Kansas’ fourth national championship 20 years after their last title.

This is easily the biggest shot in school history and will go down as the one of the best national championship games in the last 40 years.

An estimated 40,000 fans took to Mass. Street to celebrate the victory.

The Lawrence Journal World has a great photo gallery of the chaos in Kansas and the game itself.
