Toyota is developing a device to rival the SegWay scooters called the Winglet. It uses similar technology that allows the user to control speed and direction simply by shifting their weight.
It seems like they have made some important size improvements over the monstrous SegWay, but it still seems like an awkward way to get from [...]

By soldering a bunch of LEDs into a cube shape these people have made a three dimensional display. It works just like those scrolling LED signs that are common in airports except this adds the third dimension of depth.
I think this works as visual eye-candy but would be hard to use for displaying textual information [...]

Piss Screen describes itself as “an interactive urinary experience”, and actually states “not to be mistaken with the Wii”. It was developed to “encourage people to take a taxi with Frankfurt Taxi Services after they’ve had a few drinks, rather than get behind the wheel of their own car”.
Essentially it’s a Need for Speed style [...]

If you are like me you perform at least 4 or 5 google image searches a day for reference, and possibly to mock into a design. Well the Montage-a-google app is a fun way to get rid of all the whitespace and see 20 images all at once.
Montage-a-google (brought to you by Grant Robinson) is [...]

There is a “Universal Law of Sports Technology, which says unequivocally that you can build something infinitely light or infinitely strong but not both; that there are I-beams and there are feathers, and you can’t build one from the other.”
This is the premise that big sports companies like Nike, Adidas, and Speedo are trying to [...]

I am somewhat of a pack rat in that I have a hard time throwing stuff away because there is always the chance that I might need it somewhere down the line. Unfortunately this does not end when I enter the digital world.
If I run across a cool image or diagram I will drag it [...]

Microsoft and design aren’t exactly antonyms but for Apple lovers it might as well be true. The new wireless arc mouse might help change some of those perceptions, though the devotion to design may only go skin deep.
The form is certainly sleek and impressive, but one has to wonder about the effectiveness of this device [...]
