Anheuser-Busch Bought for 52 billion

The King of Beers has agreed to a $52 billion takeover bid from Belgian brewers InBev. Which if you think about is a pretty big deal. It may just be me, but I never think of a company as big as Anheuser-Busch being able to be bought out. However InBev is even bigger and the combination of the two entities will form the world’s largest brewery and “the world’s third largest consumer products company by market capitalization after Procter & Gamble of the United States and Nestle SA of Switzerland.”
From what I can tell the move won’t be noticeable for your standard beer drinker except that you might your beloved AB brands more prevalent internationally. You also might notice an increase locally in Stella Artois and Beck’s (InBev’s two flagship brands).
Anheuser-Busch’s brand holdings are too large to list here (complete list on Wikipedia), but here are some of it’s most popular offerings:

Budweiser family of beers
- Bud Light
- Buweiser Select
- Bud Dry
- Bud Ice
Michelob family
- Michelob
- Michelob Light
- Michelob Amber Bach
- Michelob Bavarian wheat
- Michelob ultra
As well as such classics as:
- Busch
- Busch Light
- Natural Light
- Natural ice
- Rolling Rock
- Landshark
- and O’Doul’s
I guess with a $58 billion price tag you had better be getting a lot and it looks like InBev certainly did.
